Terms of service
The rules for using Sidebarly, in plain language. The short version: use it for your own chats, cancel whenever you like, and ask for a refund within 14 days if it is not for you.
Refunds in one sentence
Email support@sidebarly.com within 14 days of any payment, including a lifetime purchase, and we will refund it in full. You do not need to give a reason.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to the Chrome extensions Sidebarly Folders for Gemini and Sidebarly Folders for Claude (together, "Sidebarly") and to the website sidebarly.com. By installing or using Sidebarly you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Sidebarly. Our privacy policy explains how data is handled.
2. The software and your license
Sidebarly adds folders, pins, tags, search, export, bulk delete, a prompt library and backup and restore to the Gemini and Claude web apps. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it on your own devices. You may not resell it, redistribute it, or copy it into another product.
3. Free and Pro plans
- Free is free forever, with the limits shown on the pricing page.
- Pro trial: every install starts a 7-day Pro trial. No card is needed, and it does not turn into a paid plan by itself.
- Pro costs $4.99 per month, $29 per year, or $59 once for a lifetime license. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added where required.
- Lifetime is one payment. It is honored for as long as we offer the product and keep it working.
- Each edition is licensed separately. Sidebarly Folders for Gemini and Sidebarly Folders for Claude are separate extensions, and a Pro plan for one does not unlock the other.
If we ever raise prices, the change applies only to new purchases or to your next renewal after we tell you, never to a period you have already paid for.
4. Billing and cancelling
Payments are handled by ExtensionPay and processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the extension's plan settings; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
5. Refunds
Within 14 days of any payment (monthly, yearly or lifetime), email support@sidebarly.com from the address you paid with, or tell us that address, and we will refund that payment in full. No questions are required. Refunds go back to the original payment method; your bank may take a few days to show them. After 14 days, payments are not refundable except where the law says otherwise or as described in section 11.
6. When a trial or plan ends
Nothing you created is deleted when a trial ends, a subscription is cancelled, or a payment is refunded. Your folders, pins, tags and prompts stay in your browser. Features and limits go back to the Free plan, and you can export or back up everything at any time.
7. Acceptable use
- You must follow Google's terms when using Gemini and Anthropic's terms when using Claude. Sidebarly does not change what those terms allow.
- Sidebarly does not automate Gemini or Claude, does not call their internal APIs, and only works with what you can already see as a signed-in user. Every action is started by you. You must not modify or use Sidebarly to automate, scrape or access those services by automated means.
- Do not use Sidebarly to break the law or to interfere with other people's use of these services.
8. Independence and trademarks
Gemini is a trademark of Google LLC. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic PBC. Sidebarly is independent and not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by either. We use those names only to say which product each edition works with.
9. Platforms change, and things can break
Sidebarly works by reading the Gemini and Claude web pages, which their owners can change at any time without notice. When they do, parts of Sidebarly may stop working until we adapt. We watch for changes every night and aim to ship fixes quickly, often the same day through the update file described in our privacy policy, but we cannot guarantee uptime, compatibility with every future version of those sites, or that a given feature will remain possible.
10. Your data and backups
Your folders, pins, tags, prompts and index are stored on your device, not with us, so we cannot recover them for you. Backup and restore is free on every plan; please use it, especially before changing computers or reinstalling. See how to back up.
11. If we discontinue a product
If we decide to stop offering Sidebarly or one of its editions, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the extension and on this site. Export and backup will keep working so you can take everything with you, and we will refund any unused paid time on subscriptions.
12. No warranty
Sidebarly is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of Sidebarly. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Sidebarly in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new effective date, and note material changes in the changelog. If you keep using Sidebarly after a change, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can stop using it and, within the refund window, ask for a refund.
